Skewed Hole

I am making a pipe at the moment and i have drilled the airhole flush with the bottom of the bowl, but slightly to one side rather than central, this is the first time i have made this specific error, made plenty of other mistakes on prior projects. What I want to know is has anyone got a pipe they smoke with an off-centre airhole, and if so does it affect the draw noticeably? I am aware that it would not be ok for an expensive pipe, but I just need to decide whether i can gift this one knowing it should smoke well, or keep it and smoke it for the purpose of letting the next person know whether it matters or not.

I did the same thing on my first one.
As long as it meets the bowl at the bottom properly being off center to the right or left shouldn't hurt.

I have a Chacom where the air hole is slightly off center. I think it smokes just fine.

I hope you won't mind if I use this in my ever growing list of possible band names.

BTW ... my only concern would be that it can still pass a cleaner all the way through with the stem on.

If the pipe cleaner passes you're good to go.

I find that airway alignment up and down is more critical than slightly left or right of center for a good smoker.
