Our Featured Interview on The Pipes Magazine Radio Show tonight is with Scott "Sparky" Harris of Sparky's Pipes. Scott started smoking pipes in 1989 while serving in the military in South Korea. Like a lot of pipe makers, he started making pipes because he couldn't afford high quality pipes. Now, he makes pipes that are intricately hand-carved works of art. In the "Pipe Parts" segment, Brian will discuss the English factory's classic shaped pipes from the 30s, 40s and 50s—Dunhill, Comoy's, GBD, Charatan and more.

I've become really inconsistent lately in my following of the radio show. I apologize and am trying to catch up.

I saw this picture in the latest Gramophone and wondered if you had played this composer yet. His name is Gerald Finzi and I'm including the picture. Michael Collins has wonderful recordings of clarinet works on Chandos. If you can send me an email address I can also send a couple of mp3s if your want them. I think you'll find the wikipedia article interesting also.
