Couple of years ago when I started smoking a pipe, I limited myself to a few decent Basket Briars and a ton of Cobs. I got tired of the gurgle gurgle of my baskets and finally made the plunge. I purchased a Savinelli Oscar Lucite (506). Packed a bowl of Blackwoods Flake and sailed the maiden voyage. Wow. I've been missing out. It's a terrific smoker and I can see a new addiction coming on.
Here's a link, hope it works: https://c647068.ssl.cf2.rackcdn.com/products/002-033-30246.jpg

Savs are great. I just got my hands on David's Choice Sav. It was made in the early 80s for Blatter and Blatter. It was a sample pipe for the David's Choice line.

Nice choice!
I'm always looking at the Sav's. I like this Punto Oro. I'd buy it if it wasn't so expensive.

I really like that Oscar Lucite panel; I have the prince KS version, as well as a straight panel billiard unfinished pipe (now somewhat finished). Some find Sav's too factory-pipe, but I have more of them than any other brand and find them good smokers and well designed, up and down the price ladder, and I like the Sav-made Rossi as well.

I just pulled the trigger on a Savinelli Monsieur Smooth 320 Ks.

First real briar. I'm really excited about this. Our baby is due in less than a week. Push prize for myself.
