Does this look fine?

Just bought this and i cant remember thise light spots from the last tin.

If it's got hairs it's definitely not worth the risk. It could be an acceptable 'plume'. I've seen aged flakes that have crystals or something whitish that these guys on this site value.

Not sure, but check the moisture too. If it's dry and has that w/o hairs, it could be ok.

I cant see any hairs on it, and the.moisture seems to be as usual.

Its fresh from the store, dont know how long its bin on the store tho..

The thing is i bought this to cellar it..

So i was hoping someone could see from the pics that this is how it should look or not.

Are you familiar enough with this flake to tell if it smells normal, or does it have an off moldy aroma? If it's not obvious, I would avoid sniffing it closely. Sniffing mold spores could be just as bad as smoking them.

But, it's really hard to tell from your picture.

If I was in doubt, I would jar it and check it again in a couple of weeks. Then it should be obvious.

I would think i can get new tobacco if its mold on it from the store.? I dont know if this is something thats common to happen.

Ill have a nother inspection and post another pic later.

cant see any hairs but there are some spots i cant recall seing before.. doesnt smell like mold.

Looks like light plume to me. Hard to tell for sure from those pics. Smoke a bowl, if it tastes good and doesn't kill you, smoke the rest of it.

Its done, guess ill just keep an eye on it.

Smoked a bowl today, and it tastes as great as ever..

All of my SG flakes look like that, it is sugar or some crystalline structure and definitely not mold or yeast. Nothing to worry about!

Having a second look.... the picture is a bit unclear, but as long as there is no 'fluffy' (hyphae) texture you should be fine.

That looks like plume. In my case each Gawith I've had has come with it. Good stuff.
