I recently commissioned Ryan to make me a bing billiard. He came back with two to choose from and I liked both a lot so I grabbed them. Both have a horn shank treatment. Many thanks Ryan. I think he nailed the shaping.

The smooth looks like it's glowing. It's a very good looking pair of pipes. Thanks for sharing.

I keep tellin' ya, but nobody seems to listen. Watch out for that Alden fella. He's big and mean and snarly, and might even be a vampire. Instead of popcorn during a movie he eats a bowl of week-old kittens; and the horn he uses for shank extensions comes from a herd of baby goats he keeps in a dungeon. And that's just the stuff I can talk about.

Stunning. Congrats to you and Ryan.... Perfectly proportioned, and fine photography. (You, or Ryan?)

I know that you believe you understood what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

    fine photography. (You, or Ryan?)

That is a VERY good question, but it was actually me who took the pictures. I know, somehow they are fairly good, I must have been having an off day
I will try to make them darker and more blurry next time, I promise

Those are top notch.... Ryans Blasting work is really becoming some of the best around

I can't blame you for going Deon on those selections. I'd bet they'll be wonderful smokers.
Their shapes differ slightly. The shank has a difference at the bowl. Not a defect or anything that I can tell, just an observation.

Yes, I know you can do better! Don't just make them only too dark to see grain or pits, fills, etc.; use flash so there are highlights blown out, and then the rest of the pipe dims into obscurity, hiding the above. If careful enough, the flash reflection can be used to obscure a huge fill. Moving the camera while shooting helps, or holding the pipe in your hand and moving it will do the trick. If all else fails, trim it down to 16K then blow it up to 1200 pixels per side!

    Great work Ryan.

Albert Einstein was once quoted as saying, “I believe that pipe smoking contributes to a somewhat calm and objective judgment in all human affairs.” One of the reasons behind this statement is that pipe smoking is meant to be a slow leisurely activity. It takes patience to smoke a pipe. Unlike cigarettes and cigars, there is a certain amount of technique to smoking a pipe. Where cigars and cigarettes can just be picked up, lit and puffed on, pipes require the development of a technique in order to get the best smoking experience.

Beautiful additions Peck... Thanks for sharing them. I just recently purchased my second pipe from Ryan and have decided that I'm going to start working towards a 7 day set from him.

As an example to others, and not that I care for moderation myself, it has always been my rule never to smoke when asleep, and never to refrain from smoking when awake.

peck, awesome looking pipes, the cross grain and birdseye rock. They are way too nice for you.

jefff knows my tastes and recognizes my collection as all class. peck wishes he had as much class, but at least he has something to aspire to.
