Hello! I have never posted here before, so I hope I'm doing this properly.
I have a pipe that for a while I was unable to learn its maker, not because it wasn't stamped, but because I couldn't figure out what it said haha! After a good amount of research, I finally realized it's an old Ropp pipe. The stamp is the signature of Eugene Ropp. I've read that he was the second in a line of three Ropps to run the company, and he died in the 30s(?) I believe...so does that put this pipe in that time period? The only other markings on it are "Made in France" and "P49." Does anybody have any idea on the history of this period of Ropp pipes? Thank you!
