Very sad. He will be missed. Very few actors have the range he had. From comedy to drama. He also played one hell of a bad guy. The great ones always leave us to soon.

Brilliant guy, a real comic genius, just a joy to watch him and hear his mind work,

so fast and yet able to put it across to an audience. Mrs. Doubtfire. Working with

Jonathan Winters, what a cosmic pair. As a doctor friend of mine pointed out,

depression is a life-threatening illness. Williams grew up (if I have it right) in Winnetka,

north of Chicago on the Lake, as did my mom, and also attended New Trier High

School.

Once in a great while, we have delivered to us a "genius" who makes things better. Laughter or drama. he was capable and superb. I am healthier for laughing at his antics and the better for watching his many dramatic moments.
May he rest in peace no longer embracing demons he couldn't make laugh.

Making people laugh came as naturally to him as drinking water. Few did it as well, and I'm not sure anyone did it better.
