I have not tried this yet. My oldest tin is from 6/2015, should I pop one, or wait?

I heard of its demise last year and went a little nuts on cellaring it. I sealed a ton up in mylar bags and will let them sleep for a good while.

I've never tried this and I almost grabbed them but decided to leave them for someone that already enjoys it. After losing a couple of favorites that have gone out of production I know what it's like :crying:

I grabbed more as soon as the announcement was made. I have 8 or 9 tins that are foil-taped and in my cellar. They are really choice right out of the tin, but throw a few years on them and they get better and better! Glad I have mine. It is a sad day, indeed.

For at least the next several months, just buy Dunhill Flake and wait 2+ years. Klondike Gold is/was pretty close, almost identical in fact, to the Dunhill of the same vintage.

Very sad indeed but I too was able to plan ahead and put a nice lot away in the cellar.

Always disappointing though when good tobacco blends are to be no more. : puffy

It's a golden Virginia Flake. Pretty good stuff, doesn't rock my world, but pretty good. Bringham announced a while back that it was no longer going to sale tobaccos in the US.

I'm always amazed at how many of you guys don't listen to the radioshow. It is what this forum is built around.
