Whenever I am dissatisfied with a pipe, it gets banished to a drawer if they are not flat out defect. Then it's the bin.
Tonight I opened the drawer to take a look at a Peterson system pipe with a p-lip stem that I can't stand the feel of. I think I might try to convert the p-lip into a fishtail. And there I saw this: A little Parker bent with a nice blast, light as a feather and a comfortable mouthpiece, but with gurgling issues. I thought I'd try and see if the 8-10 months since its excommunication had improved my smoking skills enough to avoid the gurgling, and Hallelujah!
And this happened just as I was coming to the painful realization that I need more bent pipes to clench. Well, here's one

Smoking is one of the leading causes of all statistics.

Yep, most pipe issues can be solved with improved technique.

Hmm, then maybe there's still hope for my gurgling churchwarden.

That looks like a perfect clencher for sure. I'm glad that time in solitary confinement excommunicated the demons.

Nice pipe! I think 8-10 months was plenty of time for it to reflect on poor behavior. I’m glad it shaped up!

I have a compact Parker bent poker and it's alway been a good little cooker. I'm not mainly an English pipe guy, but I like to keep a few around. Never any gurgling problems.

    "Whatcha in here for, Rhodie?"

    "Misdemeanor gurgling."

    Or how about this one...

"what are you in here for, bulldog?"

"They say my drilling is a bit off."

...The other pipes slowly back away to the other side of the drawer.
