Doesn't the saying go something like "Ride hard and put away wet"?
I've smoked a few cobs day in, day out at times, and only occasionally scraped out some cake so I could fit more tobacco in the bowl. No pipe cleaners ever. Great smokes too and it made me realize how fussy briar can be, and how fussy some pipe smokers are for that matter. Like little poodle primpers.

If I smoke multiple bowls in a single day from the same cob, it usually gets

put to the back of the rack for a few days.
They do smoke better when fresh, IMO.

Go to town on 'em. As stated, a little EC once in a while and a day in the sun is all they need to keep you happy.

I have many cobs, and generally only smoke them once a day. Rest 'em overnight and you'll be fine. Smoke 'em back to back once in awhile and you'll be fine too. Just don't make a habit of it.

I agree with everyone above. I often smoke the same cob for half the day with 3 or 4 bowls over 5 to 6 hours. I try to remember to swab out the bowl with a paper towel and run a pipe cleaner through it, but often it just gets laid on its side to dry out for a day or two. Either way, once dried out, they seem to be ready to smoke again. Inexpensive and forgiving!
