Hello I'm new to pipe world.

I'd like to know if it has a name or it must be called somewhat generically.

I mean that thing under the bowl.

That looks like a rather nice Cutty, to me.
As Voorhees says, it's a foot. Heard them being called Heels, before.
Recall hearing in my "Yoof" that the appendage was used to hold the pipe, when they were made of clay, so that a chap didn't burn his fingers on a hot bowl.
Very nice pipe, by the way.

klause is right; it's a briar version of an old-fashioned clay pipe -- and the "heel" is simply an affectionate nod to the original clay version. It doesn't really serve any useful function on a briar pipe. (If you can't hold the bowl of your briar pipe while you're smoking, then you're smoking way too fast and/or packing way too tightly/loosely.)
