I recently ordered an estate Savenelli that looked great but was missing the paint in the stem insignia, entirely worn away. I thought this might be a good way to learn about repainting worn out insignia. I've heard about using Rite Out Liquid Paper but I was thinking of something more permanent. My thought was to try hobbyist enamel, the kind that comes in minuscule jars, swab a dos of it on the engraved area, then wipe off. If that doesn't work, however, what is the usual, accepted method for fixing up a blank, worn away insignia? Thanks for any help you can offer.

I use acrylic paint. I put a dab over thr logo and let it dry. I then use really fine sand paper (800 or finer) to take off the excess.

I've been using a white lacquer paint stick that I got from Micro-Tools.com under the tab for camera repair tools. Just rub it on, and then wipe the excess off. Lasts a long time, and they have some other colors too.
