I have found alot of info for ebonite/vulcanite stems, but not so much on the upkeep of acrylic. Over the years, my pipes with acrylic stems have developed surface scratches from handling and use, and was wandering if there were any tips about polishing them.

I agree that wet sanding with a high grit paper (like 600g or 800g) works fast and well on acrylic. Then using Micromesh or a buffer to bring back the shine goes really fast. It's a very easy material to work on.

Micro mesh took out a pretty deep knife scratch on an acrylic Italian stem. Back in '08 I was a little too careless unpacking a new pipe fm Italy. Ugh.

Bookmarking this page. Thanks for all the tips everyone! Don't know why, but recently have become very self-conscious about my pipes' appearances.
