I was fortunate enough to see the kick-off of the Red Sox Duckboat Parade starting at Fenway Park this morning. We were sitting four rows behind the grandstand, and as the pics show, had a the best seat in the house. The energy at Fenway was overwhelming. The fans were pumped, the players were awesome, and beards were everywhere (even on Wally and most of the Duckboats)!
The tractor trailer hauling the Dropkick Murphys sunk into Fenway's infield, and held up the parade, but in true BOSTON STRONG fashion, a Duckboat pulled in front of it, threw the stranded truck a line, and towed it out of the mire! The fan's cheers were deafening. After the parade left, the fans stormed the field!
The whole city was energized! Even the statue at the Boston Public Garden was dressed for the event.
