I'm looking at a Dunhill from my birthyear (1974) online and it has a crack in the shank that has been repaired.
The crack is not noticeable in the online pictures and I'm thinking if I can get it for a reasonable price I'll go ahead.
I'm assuming since it has been repaired it would never do something like draw air through where the crack was but will the repair make stem removal during cleaning an issue or in any way shorten it's life/durability?
