Question About Moztec Strang Curly

Good day fellow smokers,
I read our Forum discussion about this delicious blend, but missed my train. Hope is there, one day it would be back, and available. Meanwhile, you still can buy tobacco at http://dein-tabak.de/. Any ideas about currently available tobacco that somewhat close to Strang Curly, is it http://dein-tabak.de/product_info.php?info=p703_16-5-der-neue---100gr-.html or may be a http://dein-tabak.de/product_info.php?info=p797_tak---old-curly-mixture---100gr-.html. Any thoughts?

From my understanding, I wouldn't hold out too much hope that the exact Motzek Strang will return to shelves. The blender outright retired. That being said, every blend of Tom's I've tried has been outstanding. So I wouldn't hesitate for a second to order some of that 16/5. If anyone is going to make a comparable blend to the original Strang, it's probably Tom.

Another thumbs up for anything and everything blended by Tom Darasz. I've ordered from him, here in the states, on several occasions without a hitch.

Also, I have a bit of the original left and it differs from The New (der neue): the original tastes "rough from the barn"; while The New has a bit a honey on top, which is Tom's signature. However, the components have that Euro look and feel.

True, but Tom Darasz was taught how to make it by Motzek before they left the business. Strang hasn't shown up supposedly because they can't find the correct leaf to make it. So it's possible that it will return, but I wouldn't bet on it. Tom is putting his own stamp on things.

With this clarification, I have a perfect justification for my Christmas TAD. On a serious note, looks like it's better to buy some tobacco from Germany now, who knows what kind of new regulations might pop up and block it. Appreciate your advice!
