I just wanted to give my thanks and appreciation to Dave Wolff at Walker Briar Works. I sent him two pipes, one needing a stem polishing. The other was a pipe I purchased, and the stem was too short. I asked him to make a stem that was very similar, but 1" longer. It was not an easy task, as the stem had to be cut to specific dimensions for a smooth transition to the shank. Here are some pics:

Beauty mate, that's some nice stem-work.

Work like that (not your average stem or pipe!) isn't easy to do.

Dave Wolff does superb stem work. Friends have been quite pleased with his meerschaum work as well. He's done excellent work for me and is now hand cutting a new non-DC rubber stem for a Charatan After Hours Executive for me. He's very good at what he does and is easy to talk with -- very approachable.

    Your horn pipe looks terrific!

Dave Wolff is presently repairing one of my Calabash Gourds. I will post the results.
Yes, the horn pipe is a great looking pipe!
