Yes that is very true, but since both of us dont know how much it's really worth. I want to make sure we both get a good deal and no one's getting ripped off.

He's going to get more than he paid for it and you'll smoke something it sounds like he wasn't interested in smoking. Everybody wins, even if he doesn't get as much as he potentially could.

Depends on your pipe and tobacco budget, and how much you want it. Thirty sounds like fair market value; $45 within reason; $50-60 if you must have it no matter what. Above that is into the sucker zone, but if it is what you dearly want, maybe not.
