I've mentioned this elsewhere, but I want to put in my vote for never again running the overly long, condescendingly sexist ad for Sutliff Tobacco's "Molto Dolce" that debuted on the most recent Radio Show.
It was awful. And if it runs again, I'm going to be fast-forwarding through it. I'm really surprised -- and disappointed -- that this one ever made it onto the show.

It was long, but I laughed my ass off while listening to it. Maybe I am just immature but I thought it was funny. If nothing else I appreciate the creativity and expense that goes into making these adds so we don't have to listen to the same thing week in and week out.

I thought it was pretty long. But come on - there are millions of examples of ads like this - don't get your panties in a wad. Go to a car show lately? Or anything else - sex always sells, and they will continue to do it.
I would suggest they not run it again because it was horrible copy; was way too long and didn't paint a favorable picture.

I'm all for using pretty ladies to get me to buy things, never gets old, but this was poorly done and oddly graphic.
And not in a good way. I know you're a sponsor Sutliff and I truly love some of your blends, but holy cow...
Be more subtle, and genuinely seductive. Don't rip off a bad porno script and change around a few words.
P.S.

Molto Dolce is delicious.

I also agree that hearing the advertisement once was enough. I thought it was funny, but found it to get boring towards the end. I'm not against the content, as we've all seen and heard much worse. We're all adults though.
I also understand that Sutliff is a sponsor of the site and radio show. So Kevin and crew have the final say on what airs. I wouldn't mind the content to stay as an advertisement, but hopefully they could shorten it a bit and still get the intended point across.
I must also add that I enjoy Sutliff tobaccos very much. They are probably my favorite overall blends.
Just my two cents. :puffy:

Yeah, it was pretty odd. I think it was going for "coy" but just ended up trashy.

 
Sure, it was a bit too long, but come on... it's all stuff that anyone who has smoked Molto Dolce in public knows. Girls just become slutty and crawl all over you when you smoke it. I thought a guy was going to pick a fight with me because his wife was all over me while I was smoking it at one of our town festivals. In fact, my girlfriend has accused me of cheating on her when I grabbed a tin of it as I was going out the door one day. This blend just causes dirty thoughts. I don't smoke it much anymore. I have since learned that I am just a one woman kinda guy.
I loved the commercial and laughed like crazy. It's funny because it's true.

How about you guys pony up and pay the money molto dolce probably pays for the ad to run for it not to run. Or just go to the bathroom or grab a beer while the ad is running?

I'm with rmbittner on this one being condescendingly sexist. Yes, I've seen and heard much worse, but that sort of pandering, lowest common denominator type stuff isn't really something to aspire to.
If you didn't mind the ad, just ask yourself: is this ad going to make women pipers feel welcome or alienated?
EDIT I'll also echo trailboss' suggestion of, you know, having ads that actually reflect the product. Pick four blends, or six, or eight, and have a blender talk about them, Have each be a minute, and rotate them from week to week. It'd cost a lot less than writing up a big script and getting actors for it, plus it would actually be about tobacco.
