Pipe Tool-ish

Hi all,
It's Chinese New Year here so ... Happy New Year ... again. hum ...
Just wanted to know what you all look for in a tool that revolves around our hobby.
I have been working tirelessly on an excel spreadsheet that is getting a little out of hand, but it's only about tobaccos, not about pipes.

I know that "the pipe tool" is out there, but I prefer the one I made for a number of reasons, one being the challenge of doing it myself.
Nothing better than what one does for himself, right?

Lots of coding and formulas, etc, lots of hours of fun, programing, if anyone can relate.
So far, I have those tabs.
1. List of tobaccos

I am filling it up progressively, it would be the main database.

Blend, brand, blend type, cut, overall score from tobaccoreviews, comment, link to label picture I made, content, aromas, scores on room note, strength, ...



most info comes in dropdown lists




2. List of tobaccos that I own

about the same as the main list.
3. Information sheet

I select a blend and it gives me all the info, displays the label and image of the type of cut.


4. A comparator tool

I can compare up to 4 blends.


5. Two Label Makers.

One for the "pictures" and one for an "information label". The information label is automatically colored according to blend types.

I can select up to 9 blends for pictures and 10 for information labels, makes it easier for printing.






6. Charts.

Some pie charts about the blends that I own. Percentages of what what.


I am now in the process of creating a new tab relating to every smokes and my impressions of it.

It would then calculate the average of them, per blend, and update the rating in another tab.
Other crazy people out there?
Any other ideas of things to add, I am always looking up to more crazy things to code, so ... anything that could be useful.
By the way, when it's done, I am happy to share with you.

Adding prices and shipping costs is a really good idea. Didn't think of that !

As is a graph for consumption, which will come when I start populating the new tab about it.

I get a little crazy when I start doing that kind of stuff.

I just finished a little tool within the workbook that allows me to track my smokes, and personal evaluation of taste, strength, flavouring and room note and calculates averages to show in another tab.
The next thing I have in mind is to have a "suggestions" tab, which would allow the user to select a blend and the tool proposes similar ones according to types and characteristics.

That one will be a tougher I believe.
Anyone interested ?

@Pat: for now I am a little idle, but in the near future, I want to adapt it to increase the amount of data. Because every drop down is an alphabetical list of blends, if that list becomes too big, 200+, it really slows down the thing. I will make cascading drop downs by brand then blend to lighten the processing. After that, I want to have a tab that allows suggestions, based either on 1 blend + choice of characteristics, or choice of 3-4 blends and provide suggestions.
@bpftc: I don't know about "public" but I am happy to share. For now it's still a little early though.
