I had a friend recommend a vanilla porter beer, and I love it. I was wondering if their were any recommendations on pipe tobaccos to pair with this beer

If it's Breckenridge then it's pretty creamy bear without a strong hops edge, so I would probably go with a chocolatey Burley to compliment it or a straight lighter Virginias to cut through it. In my mind, smokey would make for a weird combo but who knows? It might just surprise you. If it's a different brand then I'm not sure. I think that is the only vanilla Porter I've had.

Definitely non-aromatic. You don't want dueling vanillas, or too many flavors going at once. I would guess a Va/Per or

pure Va blend might be good.

Daimyo that is the brand it was, I don't have any chocolate, burley tobaccos, but I do have allot of Virginia blend tobaccos so I will try them out. Moso you never know everyones tastebuds are different, I agree I don't think I would enjoy a aro with it but I would try it out just to see for sure that I don't like that mix.
