A minor decision. While driving I smoke a low end Peterson. Yes, I know, unbelievable. The pipe is meant to be disposable, nothing fancy. Now, however, fillers are popping up everywhere, even a spot that might be the beginning of a burn through. Time to retire this one and find another cheap pipe that smoked well but won't be missed if it disintegrates. What would you get? Photos and vendors appreciated.

Any pipe that smoked well would be missed no matter how cheap or ugly. :crying:
Checkout the Rossi Vitoria line. They’re Sav’s with a different stamping. Of course the fit and finish leave much to be desired, but it should smoke like a champ.
And prices are hard to beat.

The Rossis look ideal and the right price. Estates are cool two, hadn't looked at falcon yet. Chasing, are you nuts?

Not at all. Dunhill just doesn't live up to the smoking characteristics I enjoy, and it was either the glove box, or the trash can.

@ Monk. Sweet Alpha’s!
Here’s my Vittoria 8 320 I jazzed up a few years ago. Dirt cheap and smokes just as nice as my Savinelli 320’s. Tweaked the stain to brown and added a gold band. (50 cent brass washer)

I have a Savinelli 645, and after looking at that Rossi link, I'm thinking I need the Rossi 8645 pipe. My Savinelli 645 is my favorite pipe and that Rossi is the same pipe.
Good luck finding a new driving pipe.

You should head on over to Morgan Pipes’ site and take a look at the Bones pipe. You will pay a lot less than any other pipe but get so much more. The perfect car pipe.

Probably a question that has already been answered somewhere, but how did you "tweak" the stain? That looks great.

Also take a look at Ropp and Genod pipes as well. Both very affordable french pipes.
