First time using ebonite, much softer than the acrylic I'm used to. Buggered the button up a little bit. I'm pretty stoked about it overall. It is a gift to my wife. She doesn't smoke, so it will get displayed with her orca collection.

Very enjoyable object showing again your good hand.

I like the fresh design. Did you copy some toy or cake or it comes just from your creativity?

Very very cool!
...and the birdseye on bottom is spectacular.
No doubt that your wife enjoys it,

such a special object done out of love --- wonderful!
I like the focus of her collection,

interesting.
I've always been fond of the Haida artworks, traditional as well as contemporary, and even have a Don Yeomans design on my arm for a tattoo (Raven steals the light)...
...here is his "killer whale":

Anyways,

nice stuff,

your whale is soulful and seems to carry a big personality,

I know it looks even better in the flesh because many time photographs can do no justice.
Thanks for sharing.
Work well done.

It is fully functional. Should smoke as well as any other pipe I've made. Scrooge can attest to how those are.

Wow! That looks great. My son is a marine mammal obsessed and was very impressed. He demaneded that I buy it. I can assure you that is high praise from an 8 year old as he is pretty picky when it comes whales and the details.

Really incredible! It's a shame it won't get used for actual smoking, but that's OK because that thing is art first, and a pipe second. I'm incredibly impressed.
