While assembling my drawings for my upcoming website, I came across this one. It was an interior illustration for a collection of stories about Clark Ashton Smith's tales about a now-wanished continent called Zothique. Hope the nude is tasteful enough not to offend anyone.

Lovecraft and Smith were close correspondents, so it's no wonder there was some cross-influence. The book this drawing appeared in was nominated for an award from some group or another for best anthology. They also made separate prints of the interior illustrations, of which there were only two, myself and Allan Koslowski. We each contributed two illos each. My favorite Smith story was "The Monster of the Prophesy," especially the humorous end.
