I have tried hundreds of blends and finally settled on two. I still will sample other tobacco if gifted to me or some such situation but my search is not nearly as vigorous as it used to be. Are there any other folks out there who have an absolute favorite or two...maybe three?
For me its Rattray Marlin Flake when I want a sweet smoke.

For me it Capt. Earle's Private stock when I want an English, this classic blend it robust, full bodied, nice nicotine hit but never overwhelming.
How about you?

It was Anni Kake, Ennerdale Flake and Old Dark Fired, but since Simon sent me some St Bruno I would replace ODF with St Bruno. Now I just need to stock my cellar with St Bruno.

"jack, do you mind sharing the other 7?"
Since you asked, 8 tin and two pouch to help the tins get some age
Eight Tins:
Tudor Castle

Cooper

Old Gowrie

Deception Pass

Anniversary Kake

Marble Kake (Use it as is and to blend-in to the others at times. Works great as an addition to most anything)

HH Acadian Perique

Gaslight

Quiet Nights
Two Pouches, again, to keep the tins aging, i.e. keep my hand off of them, save some $$$, and because I like them as is or mixed 50/50:
Missouri Meerschaum Country Gentleman

Missouri Meerschaum American Patriot
Have also laid-up some Bourbon Bleu, forgot that one. May add HH Latakia Flake to the mix then it would be an even 10 on the tins.
So many great choices listed by the others. This is all such a beautiful thing to me.

I wouldn't ever want to settle for just three blends but if I had to they would be the following.
Wessex Brigade Campaign Dark Flake

Stonehaven

Fribourg & Treyer Cut Virginia Plug

Excellent, I agree jack, a beautiful thing indeed.
You guys have mentioned some good and popular blends and some not so much, popular that is, and the variety is wonderful!

I've tried 20 or so blends so far. I do a triage on them.
1. Definitely buy again.

2. Maybe buy again.

3. Never buy again.
I have 4 in the top category - Dunhill Black Cavendish, Drew Estate Toasted Cavendish, Capt Black Dark, and Wessex Brigade Campaign Dark Flake.
Ultimately, I'll probably settle on 8-10 regular blends that I really like because it comes down to this for me: Why smoke (or buy) something you sort of like, when you have several other blends that you really like.

1. Peterson Old Dublin

2. SG Skiff Mixture

3. Whichever VA I am sampling. I hope to be done this process soon, knowing I could never try them all. Based on reviews and research I have some short listed but nothing concrete.
