Always wanted Photoshop but don't like the idea of shelling out hundreds of bucks or running the risks of pirated software? Well, it's your lucky day! Adobe is providing free serials for CS2; and while it isn't the latest and greatest version, it is more than adequate for most users. You can find it here!

Thanks for the link! I'm really excited about Audition though. It's only version3.0 but it'll still do everything I might possibly need in my home studio.

Thanks so much. My pirated version blew out with my last computer and I have been in dire need ever since.

I have used every single version of Photoshop since its inception, and you can do all that you want with the older versions, even pre-CS, so I can't believe Adobe is offering these. Do they have a time-out?

Holy Cow!! Thanks for the link!! I used to use CS2 for various tasks. One of which is working on my astrophotos and astrosketches. I have been using GIMP lately, but I always enjoyed PS.

    Danke!!

Note from CNET as of the 7th. You may want to check into it.

UPDATE, 2:40 p.m. PT: There has been clarification since this story broke. Adobe has not released the CS2 software for free. Instead, it has cancelled its CS2 license management servers, so for those with existing licenses it is now offering downloads that do not require contact with the licensing servers. This service is only going to be available for those with existing Adobe CS2 licenses, which will be verified when creating the Adobe account to download the software.

    And yet another story update...

For some it appears the page is still available without even having to log in, for others, not. Apparently though this is a mishandling of a technical issue by Adobe.
