Have any of you guys bought or looking very hard at the new Molly Malone series of Petes. I think I might pull the trigger in the next day or so.

I want those SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO bad. Gotta wait though tools come first.
No kidding, I'd love that set!
I see in one listing they call Molly the Dolly with the Trolly. My Cousins in Dublin call her The Tart With The Cart! LOL
I can't decide if I want the smooth or this one set of rusticated thats not as deep. I think the stems contrast perfect though, and I typically don't care for the look of Acrylic stems.
They also call her "The Dish With The Fish", "The Trollop With The Scallop", and "The Flirt With The Skirt" lol.
We Irish just got no respect! LOL!!
Now I want to buy the set! Those pipes are beautiful no matter what style you get.
I really want the sandblasted set! The perfect contrast... Does it get better than Peterson? (Rhetorical question; it doesn't get better!)
They're very nice, but a little outside my buying power at the moment...

I like the rustic
Doesn't it hurt a little Mark? I'm in the same boat.

Yeah, maybe a little, but you get used to it.... thank God all my old pipes still smoke good. I'm hoping things will get better soon, but it's hard to see spending over $300 for a pipe when your car is falling apart and you can't afford a newer one.
There is no way I can afford that, but I can dream. I really like the grain shown on the smooth, but then I like the grain on all of the Peterson smooths I've seen, including the ones I do own. I like the sandblast and rustic as well, as long as I'm dreaming, I'll dream I've gotten one of each set.
They're a nice set of pipes. Love the rusticated ones.
That Ebony Straight is a beautiful pipe. Too bad I'm not willing to pay that much.
Kind of a sad legend. Beautiful song when done correctly, and who other than Paddy Reilly to do it;
Must have been one of Ronnie Drew's last appearances.
All three of my daughters love that song. I used to sing it to them when I put them to bed as wee children.
I had you in mind when I posted that, Uncle Arthur.....
I found myself in quite a predicament. I got approved by my accountant to purchase an expensive pipe. I has looking at a Dunhill. Then I found the Molly's. I decide to get the Molly set. Two pipes cheaper than the single Dunhill. I am 100% positive I made the right choice. Those smooth little beauties smoke great and the Bent Molly makes every tobacco some how taste better than in any of my other pipes. I made the right choice.
Tommy that is a great vid thanks for putting it up.
It's always great when a purchase works according to plan. Even better when the puffer is more than happy with his purchase. WTG d00d.
So the other day I was smoking the straight Rhodesian Molly and found two fills. I didn't not notice them early on, but as the bowl darkens a bit the fills have shown them selves. The pipe obviously still smokes the same but I am a little disappointed.
You have me looking for fills in my Mark Twain Pete. I didn't find any, but the grain looks painted on. That is truly low. There was a recent post in the Peterson International Pipe Club complaining about Peterson bashing. They called it uncalled for. PAINTING THE GRAIN ON A PIPE? That stinks. It's like putting brick wallpaper on the outside of a wooden tenement and selling it as a brick house. Absolutely despicable. A while back I was planning to get a Peterson dealership for my camera store. I have dropped those plans. I don't sell cameras I would not use, and will continue that policy for pipes. I do have some very good Petes, and have recently sold a large number of not so good Petes. They really ought to have more pride.
foggymountain, can you post a photo showing this grain that you think is suspect, I cannot picture what it might look like.
