I have no idea why cased sets resonate so strongly in my nicotine-stained heart, only that they do.
This companion pair was made (I think, anyway--corrections encouraged) in the 1950's or 60's.
The English influence is strongly present in the button design... they are curved, a la Dunhill.
The pipes were unsmoked, and the case kept in a some sort of protected place---a cabinet or drawer---until finding their way to me six years ago. New old stock.
Did I smoke 'em? Hell yeah. Am I glad I did? Hell yeah. Have I had the chance to take them on the Orient Express across Asia in the inner pocket of my overcoat?
Not yet. So far, they've traveled with me to exotic places only in my imagination.
Dublin -- 33.8 grams, 5.7" long

Billiard -- 39.8 grams, 5.6" long

If I don't smoke a pipe, I feel like I'm shunning it. I'm a pipe smoker, not a pipe curator. Great pair of pipes, those.

Those are sweet! Ever since I purchased one of the new Dublin & London pipes I've been looking for one of the original Dublin & London or London & Dublin. I just haven't found one in a shape I want yet. Yours are lovely!
