I thought new Peterson pipes had pretty much reached the $100 level forever, or $96 or $98. Then I noticed smokingpipes.com selection of Peterson Dublin Edition pipes for $79.20, with a good selection of shapes and quite a large inventory. I'm stocked up on Petersons myself, but I thought that for those who need a new Pete, this is a way to do it.

I love Peterson pipes and when I got on the smokingpipes.com site last night I saw the Dublin pipes and was overcome by evil PAD.

I just had to have this Dublin Edition Rusticated (X220) Fishtail. Needless to say, my sorry, weak, PAD stricken, will failed me, so now it's on it's way and I can't wait to receive it!

It looks like a stout little pipe though, it's about 4 1/2 inches long with a .78 chamber.

mark', that's a super nifty pipe, durable for carrying around, but classy enough for after dinner.

Their non-system non-spigot pipes aren't half bad for the money, especially the dark-stained rusticated ones, as the multitudinous fills are fairly well camouflaged. For the same money as a new one of these I'd rather hunt for an estate of a higher quality brand though. YMMV.

davet, I love the XL02 shape and was considering the same pipe, but I already have 2 of them.

That's a pretty cool blast though and the price ain't bad either.

Now these are on a 10% discount, down to about $71, on their IPSD sale through midnight Monday. I don't think we'll see full-size new Petersons at at this price too often.
