As some here may know, I have Skype and have subscribed to their European and British Isles service.

A few days ago I spoke with the head of Peterson Pipes, Mr., Tom Palmer about dip staining the System pipes. He told me it had to do with the flow of the work and that they weren't dipped but mopped and stain was migrating into the bowls. I recieved an e-mail from him yesterday and he told me that he and Tony Whelan, the floor manager, had devised a cure for it. As of today, there will be no more stain in our System pipes.

They had been corking the classic pipes for some time.
Now I ask you, how's that for customer service and responding to customer complaints?
Kudos to Mr. Palmer.

I love Peterson's but thats a good point pipetrucker. I mean, how long does a company have to be around before they work the kinks out!

On the other hand: My first real pipe was a Peterson system pipe with dip staining and I am pretty sure the stain prevented me from burning it out as a newbie.
But, yes, dip staining is nasty.
