Does anyone have any advice on what to do with the air draw on Peterson pipes. I own several and I am thinking of altering my pipe since reading Rick Newcombe's articles of early 2000. Any comments?

Are you referring to P-lip pipes? And, what kind of alterations are you referring to?

If you have a link to Rick Newcombe's articles that may be helpful as well.

The draw on my p-Lips is too tight. I have opened up the air draw on one Peterson P-Lip and it smokes like a different (better) smoker. By opening up the draw a little with a drill it has made quite a difference and I have began enjoying my Petersons more than ever. If you have ever smoked a Costello you'll know the diffence of a centered large bore air draw.

I like the slightly restricted draw of my P-lip model. I have one Johs pipe that is wide open, and I'm not really thrilled about the draw on it.
