Nice looking pipe and great baccy choices! I won my first Dunhill on eBay yesterday. I can't wait to see how it smokes.

"The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am The Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you."

Just finished a smoke in the Cutty with Davidoff Flake Medallions on the maiden voyage, absolutely divine smoke.

A bit small, but that's the idea I suppose LOL.

I like the rather unusual shape.

    Thanks for posting, Banjo!

Neat little pipe Banjo, haven't seen many of those around. Is it an old Patent piece or a fairly new one? Thanks for sharing.

is the little piece of wood on the bottom of the bowl just for looks or does it serve some kind of functional purpose? I've always wondered about that.

    Doc,
It's a patent and dates from 1940 and they are scarce.

    pipinho,
The nubbin hails from the days of clay pipes which was on of the places one could hold the pipe as the stem was shortened, the nubbin on this pipe works the same and it is also a sitter balancing on the nubbin and end of the fishtail bit.
