Just received these two. A Tortuga 602 and a Nonpareil. Both are estate pipes from Danish Pipe Shop. I smoked the Tortuga earlier today and it went cool and dry. There was some off flavor from the coating they use for refurbishing, so I guess it needs a little breaking in, but I'm very pleased with it.

I am smoking the Nonpareil now, with some HoTW, and it is really great. These two are going to get smoked a lot!

Congrats! I have a Savinelli Tortuga but it is smooth and a Canadian shape. I didn't think through when I ordered it because it is a KS and it is way too big and long for my taste. This bent billiard of yours looks just perfect in size.

I do like Nonpareils, work, but that Tortuga is killer!! Yeah, I've experienced that refurb taste myself occasionally. Picked up a Sasieni 4-dot recently that had a slightly odd taste to it, but I know it'd been sanitized. One bowl & it was gone, so unless my lower lip falls off this afternoon I'm not going to worry about it. :mrgreen:
