    Great looking pipe!

    Poker Party!

Dudley saw it coming in my LaRocca post.

Figured I ought to have at least one "good" pipe right?

And this makes a nice first choice as a companion to my cobs.

Hard to find. I got the last one @ 4noggins for $57. I tried to convince myself that the rustic finish was good enough. But I couldn't. The smooth just got me in the gut. Been doing a lot of browsing and this is the first pipe that I really loved.

I won't see any communication directed to me here. I'm no longer active at this forum.

I did some trading with a member of another forum and ended up with this 1982 Mark Twain by Peterson's:

A prevoius owner ground the bottom of the P-lip away and there is a dent in the rim about 1/16" deep. It didn't respond to steam so I guess sandpaper is next. Shulte's Pipe Service has a stem.
I only had $45 in the 314 Premier I used in the trade so I can afford to spend a little on this one.

The first bowl of G&H Balck XX was as sweet a smoke as I've had in a long time.

I've always been crazy but it's kept me from going insane.

Yeah, I hope this will keep me content for a little while. I have a hard time convincing my wife that I need more tobacco. She thinks I should smoke everything till it's gone before I buy more.

I am quite lucky in the fact that my wife has no say in the matter (separate bank accounts). I've never had her say anything about tobacco (of course I don't have all that much anyway), but on occasion she looks at the pipe collection and asks "when did you get this/these one/ones". I just smile and respond "oh...a little while ago" :)

I have been making a point recently of actually going through and smoking each pipe in my collection. She asked me last night if I was "taking each one for a test drive". LOL

Thanks Phil, I hope it smokes well, the air hole is kinda small but I'll let you know how it smokes.
