Nice. I wonder if he sounds anything remotely like the voice I have had in my head from reading his reviews all these years. Probably not

I listened to some of it but then had to go into church. I'll pick it back up later. I enjoyed what I heard so far, Jim. Thank you

What a great interview. Great to learn more about someone who is a prized individual in our pipe community. Jim if I ever got the chance I’d love to sit down with you and just listen to your experiences over 4 or 5 bowls of tobacco. You have been such a positive influence in my pipe smoking endeavor. Thanks again.

Just finished listening, very interesting. Jim is a living legend!

Did not know about the comics connection. Have been reading my old Carl Barks comics to my younger kids, they love it.

Nice interview! The voice reminds me of Maxie Rosenbloom more than Orsen Welles though.

Nothing like i thought, for whatever reason, but interesting none the less. Thanks Jim for all the great reviews. I have relied on them many a time to point me in the right direction and have yet to get lost. Cheers brother, keep it up.

Whoa! It was that bad? Sheesh!

    lol j/k

Thanks for the link, I’ve read his reviews for years. Can’t wait to listen.

“Well, I can’t cure death. This is bad, Morty. You’re trapped in a dead man. Listen, if the situation keeps darkening, do yourself a favor and pop by Pirates of the Pancreas. Obviously I’m biased, but I think it’s great, Morty. It’s a bunch of *belches* pirates running around a *belches* pancreas. We don’t whitewash it, either, Morty. I mean, the pirates are really rapey.” - Rick & Morty

Btw, for those who don't know, Brian Levine interviewed back in 2014. Here are the links to the two episodes:

I thought Jim sounded a lot like Harpo.

Just listened to this. There was a lot I learned about Jim. I didn't know he was an artist for comics or a minor league ballplayer. Awesome. Really sounds like a great and knowledgeable guy!

Danimalia: I played semi-pro, not minor league. College prevented me from playing organized ball. That ended up being the better decision.

Thanks for the compliments. I was told my interview is currently the third most downloaded and is 150 away from being number one. I thought that was pretty cool.

Oh boy, hope my gimpy operating system will access this. I remember the Brian Levine interview vividly, especially when he was asked about pipes, when he said he wasn't much of a pipe man, but a tobacco guy, and just smoked the Stanwell's he got at no cost at his work place.
