Anybody knows how many times a pipe needs to be smoked to get the taste of its coating off/out?
I think I've smoked my Vauen at least 10 times and, argh, I can still taste the darn coating. I just came back from a nightly walk with 3/4 bowl of Hearth & Home's Anniversary Kake and most of the taste was... coating.

I'm sure it varies, but I'm with you. I've never had a coated bowl that didn't taste like the moisture drain on a Dumpster. I always wind up sanding them out.

Wipe the bowl with a wet baby wipe (unscented) after smoking and while hot. That will expedite the removal of the factory coating.
