Yep, very cool. I wonder if that article launched any pipemakers? Or were pipes so cheap, it was easier to head to the local drugstore?

Good stuff! For some reason the author didn't like the word "mortise" and said "tenon hole".... Love the discolored tape, too.

Fun to look at the old stuff ins't it? I was surprised by the condition of the magazine pages. Often, they are perfect, since there were so many to choose from to scan them. I guess this article was popular even back then and warranted repair.
