I recently got this Savinelli Octavia from Dave Neeb which he listed as a Savinelli R.M. 2006. It's a beautiful pipe and obviously an Octavia but why this odd stamping? It has no other stamping on the briar other than Italy, and the Savinelli logo on the stem. I cannot find anything about this although I did find one someone had on eBay a while ago stamped R.M. 1996 but it was a different Savinelli. Anyone have any idea what this stamping represents?
