no messages in inbox

Not sure where to post this so please move to correct forum.

I am getting a message on my e-mail saying private message received,but if I go to my account/ messages /inbox it says
You have no messages in your inbox.

however if i follow the link from my e-mail I open a message from this site

Any ideas what i am doing wrong
confused of Greece

Click on "Forum" at the top the page, the look at the right-hand side of the screen and you will see:
Private Messages

You have 1 new message
Click on it.
Edit: Yes, you have to be logged in to the site before you do this.

When I get such a message I must open the browser, log on to the website and then click on "http://xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" line in the message body of the notification.

thanks Mau ,as you can see I was going in via the message tab under my account,I would have thought it still should show but hey ho know I know better
