I've always wanted a nice poker pipe, preferably in the $40-90 range, not much more. I've looked around P&C and found a few, just wanted to see if you gents had any other suggestions!
A new Parker under $60 is of course great.
Just another suggestion, if you live in New England / near Boston, it's better to go choose your own poker pipe in person at L.J. Peretti in these two ranges:
I got my poker from Don Warren at the West Coast Pipe Show last year. Very well made. Draw is effortless on it and it's very well balanced. Only cost $100. Here's the link to Don Warren's Etsy Shop . He doesn't have any available for sale right now, but if you click on the sales there are a few different examples of ones he's sold. His contact information is on the page if you like what you see and want him to make one for you.
I have a Neerup which smokes superbly. Highly recommended. It is the only poker I have and so I can't comment on others. Check out the Danish Pipe Shop site for deals - they often have discounted pipes and some of their estates might be worth a view as well.
+1 on Savs and Neerups as I favor smaller pipes. Peterson makes a Tankard and a Barrel that would fit your needs and price range, but they don't show up often, new or used.
Boswell pipes are okay, but they are rather large and heavy.
No comment on the new Parkers as I have not held or smoked one.
+1 on the don warren pipes. I am in the Albuquerque pipe club with Don and he is an amazing pipe maker/craftsman... If you would be interested in one of his pokers just send me a PM and I would happily send him a request... or just pick you up one at the pipe meetings and ship it to you. Good luck
