I dunno what attracted me to this pipe... It is very... Rustic. I thought maybe I'd try my hand at fixing it up, or I might smoke it as is is....

it only cost me $23 on EBay...

it said it was meerschaum...when I unpacked it and looked at it I thought it might be bone, but it isn't... it looks handmade, but by who... Who knows.

Who has a hunk of meerschaum laying around? I guess I do now.

I have never restored meerschaum... Any advice? I know not to wet it or feed it after midnight.

Questions? Comments?
cheers

"Newnweird"...sounds German.
Looks like a handmade project, I would hold off until you determine if it's meerschaum or "other". Looks like you may be finishing someone else's project. Fun! I can't tell what it is by the pics yet...

Yes, this looks like a project that didn't meet it's completion. I have meerschaum kit pipe that looks a lot like that still. :puffy:

Twang might mean New & Weird. If he doesn't, that an astronomical coincidence. Anyway, I agree with the consensus - somebody was carving it. From something.

@Lawrence lol! I love it... The potato!

I am going to have to do some interweb searches and figure out how to carve this potato.
