I picked up this old Savinelli "Kings Cross" estate yesterday from my B+M. It's a small group 1 I'm guessing and tipping the scales at 25gm. Perfect I think for smoking plugs and ropes.

I agree. Certainly plug, but also flake/coin/and rope, seem to go really well in small-medium pipes like this. You can definitely get a full-length smoke in this one with plug, and benefit from its light weight for clenching and carrying as a pocket pipe. I own and enjoy big bowl pipes, but they certainly are less portable. A range of sizes, from extra large to Group 1 small all serve a good use, along with all those medium bowl pipes we love so well.

I love the shape -- the bowl is a fairly good size for such a small, light pipe. Congrats.

It's already been said but flakes and coins should smoke very well in it as will strong krumble kakes, enjoy that sweetheart.

Beautiful pipe! This is the first I've heard of King's Cross, so thank you for bringing it to my attention. I agree, that pipe is going to be a great size for plugs, ropes, flakes, and/or exceptionally potent tobaccos. Enjoy!

Breaking it in with some Bullseye Flake today and I'll run some Jackknife through it on the weekend.
