My good friend Morton asked me to make a couple pipes for him awhile back. I am posting the pics for him here, so here goes.

The first was for a bent Apple, with the curves reminiscent of an Author or the GBD 9438/9242 shape.

Those are some gorgeous pipes! I really like the way that you fused the grain with the shape! The birdseye on the bottom of the volcano/poker is luscious! Beautiful rhythm in the flow of the shapes!

Dan, you would be correct in that assumption. Ryan those are two beautiful pipes, just stunning. Love the Author shape myself (Dan what's wrong...... are we going to be ok?)

Good to hear you are rocking and rolling again Ryan, that is some outstanding work.
I do hope to be emailing you again (or calling) to discuss something along the lines of that volcano. I can see that with some different accenting wood near the stem. The birdseye on that piece is just breath taking.

Lonestar, those are some beautiful pipes. That grain on the Volcano and the birdseye on the bottom is absolutely stunning. You deserve a beer, or whatever drink you fancy :clap:
