Interesting stem on this one.

Saw this in another thread.
Apparently, it was photographed next to someone who was arc welding or something.
Also interested in seeing some better photos.

Knowing me I'd probably stab myself with that. Very interesting though, I'd like to see more pics as well.

I think it is the camera settings. Here is another one from the seller http://www.ebay.com/itm/322314433778
I will take pics when I get it. BTW what was the other thread.

Yeah, I paid maybe a shadow of that amount!
I need to start downloading pictures of pipes I am looking at because they seem to disappear after the bid closes. I know nothing of this maker- but what caught my eye was the slanted joint between the pipe and stem. I really hope it is as cool as the pictures were.

Ok the pipe has arrived! It is very black, but I tried to get some better photos:

With my lack of pipe knowledge I don't know what to look for - does this look like a low, medium, or high quality pipe? The stem fits nice and tight...
I still can't find anything on the name Kremer, except a pipe and cigar store in Louisville KY, maybe it is a shop pipe?

Hard to tell which side of the stem goes up... the button seems to be more rounded on one side. Do you think that would go up or down?

I'll go out on a short limb and say it has nothing to do with Kremers in Louisville.

There's another well known tobacconist shop..Kremer or Kremers...somewhere else but I can't recall at the moment.
