New Ed James USMC Tamper; 9/16/12

So I am working on a project for a buddy of mine, he is a US Marine. This is part one of a 3 item set I am making for him. I will post pics when the set is complete, but it will be composed of this tamper, a custom USMC colored Smoking Dragon Custom Cob, and a Custom USMC briar pipe that I am making. I bought an aerosphere pipe with the specfic purpose of having Ed transform it into a tamper, a red, gold, and black tamper. For any of you out there who would like work done on pipes or to have a nice tamper made either for yourself or as a gift you can't go wrong with Ed. He even changes the shape of the end of the pipe stem. Check it out, just gorgeous, can't wait to present it to my buddy.

Yeah and that is actually the piece of briar that will soon be a pipe. I have a USMC medalion that I am going to attempt to inlay on the front of the bowl

Im waiting om the SD pipe to come but he posted a pic of it in one of his threads, I will start work on the briar this week. I've ben waiting on the medallion to come before shaping. It will be a danish style with a bent stem.
