I can wait till I get this! I'm just gonna sit and smoke all day. It looks like by the time I get it, the weather will be nice.

The box has made it safely to me. I haven't had a chance to open it yet (late and then early work hours) but I hope to rummage through it and then have it out on the weekend!

Ok folks...here's my contribution to the box pass:
Got the box on Monday or Tuesday. A fresh new compact box thanks to LordNoble:
Opening it, I was treated to the aromas of more tobacco brands than I have ever heard of or seen before. This box has more variety than some B&M’s.
I spread them out of the table and it filled the surface from edge to edge. (This is a 5’x5’ table) Sorry for the poor quality. I stood up on a chair and kept the camera over my head to try to get everything in frame- hence the blurriness. I still couldn’t get everything into frame, as you can see:
There’s everything in there; books, pipes, cleaners, tampers and yes, tobaccos of all kinds. My head was spinning a little as I scratched my head and tried to figure out where to start first.
These books are pretty cool. They are written from a time gone past when pipe smoking was a common ritual. There was actually some really good info of the breakdown of a tobacco plant and what parts are used, how they are cured, etc.:
(Tried to give some perspective here with the chairs and plant)This box pass project is such a great idea. Thanks Baron, Romeo, Lordnoble and all who have started and continue this idea. It is a great way to introduce more variety into pipe smoker’s lives and convinces me that a group of people who have never met can still be generous and trustworthy with each other.
I added some tobacco from my collection that I didn’t see already included. Plus I threw in some fresh MM corncob pipes for those who haven’t tried them or if some wants an unghosted pipe to try out some of these tobaccos:
This was my first box pass experience and I am very pleased to be a part of it. It was worth the six-month wait! The box is sent off today to Romeowood, after 5 days in my possession. Thanks everyone!

It's cool to see that the notes written on the inside of the lid of the original box were cut out and preserved. Well done !

I tried to fix the images, but instagram is a Flash-using bitch. No image address to copy, so our system doesn't know what to do with the address. I made them into clickable links.

I didn't insure it, but I got Delivery Confirmation. As for the amount.... God only knows. There is a ton of tobacco in there plus those pipes. $100, easy. This is just a guess-timate and in no way am I implying that you HAVE to pay for insurance.

Delivered to Virginny! If you think about it, a large percentage of the tobacco in this box has traveled around the world, been manhandled by countless people, only to arrive re-apportioned in a bunch of plastic bags to the place of its origin. Brings a little tear to the eye, in a spawning salmon sort of way....

Lol, I indeed do not live in VA, I had reciently recieved a bunch of samples and discovered top favorites in all catagories, I decided I no longer needed the pass and told romeowood to skip me. The next guy down the list has it in VA some where, I live in MD. Sorry about your trobles with the box pass, VA is like 3 hours from here, if we need to I can burn all the houses down over there and see which one smells like pipe tobacco. taerin was my original username, since then I have gone by the nickname (realname) Eric. If you pm me though it still says taerin, it's very confusing

Well, I got the box!! Did not even know it was coming. I will get a pic off of what is in the box tonight or tomorrow. Did not know there wer around 30 members now. I should not have the box very long. I will decant some samples and then pack it and send it on it's way. Gary

Here are the pics. Forgot to take one of the books. 1st pic is of contents I received, less books. Books all went back out. 2nd pic is pipes. 3rd pic is of additions to box. Gold block is open, maybe a pipeload used. Sunbear has about half the container remaining(in a bag). The rest of tins are unopened. Tins vary in age from 2 years to about 15. Enjoy!!

Also since there are 30 people on the list now, I am thinking of closing the list to new additions for awhile. That's more than a year in a cycle if everyone sticks to 2 weeks or so.

SOOOOOOO jealous. I may have to get with the powers that be and start a noob box pass since this one looks like it will be shutting down to new members. I wouldn't have a problem managing the list if anyone else is interested. My only issue is that I only have about 5 tins of baccy and some bulk stuff so if I started it I am not sure how much people down the line would get out of it.
Any thoughts??
