Boy I hope it gets found. My birthday is next monday and if the box gets sent to me I would be happier than a pig in sh!t.

Ok, so Tanless is gonna have the old box- are we gonna try to combine in the new stuff? How's this gonna work?

I talked a bit to herbinedave about it and we want to make sure that the old box is enjoyed (Lord willing and the creek don't rise) as well as the generous samples that were sent my way this past week.
Tanless1 should have the old box this week. If that goes as planned, it will continue on its merry way according to the list that's in there. Once it gets to your house, Jud, I'll email you the updated list and off it will go again.
The new box I plan to send backward down the list since there are guys who have been waiting a good year for it. I'll print a reversed version of the list to make it easy. Should the boxes cross paths in the middle, whoever has them can either combine them or send them out separate and we'll cross that bridge when and if we get there.
If tanless1 fails to acquire the old box then the new one will go to Gecko13 and follow the most current list, which I'll put in there.

I want to thank everyone who sent samples for the new box. There were a great many samples of quality stuff and even a couple pipes, a reamer and tampers. Both boxes will be a treat!

Reverse order of which list? I'm confused
OK really what I wanna know is this...is there a box possibly coming to my house soon? Chris, we can still meet up. As of yet the original box's fate is uncertain. Outlook is better than when we thought it was in Post Office Hell but still uncertain until jameral or gecko13 gets it.

Yep. It's here. I thought I mentioned it, but I guess not. Great stuff there! I am waiting on a couple more to get to my door and then I have to go get a bigger box! My medium flat rate box won't fit it all now.

Still playing the waiting game. Having the box delivered to Tanless in Idaho failed, so I told him to try and get whoever has the box to mail it to jameral, since he is in California.

I may just do that. I have actually been in contact with tanless via email, though, and he really is trying. Whoever has it out there in Cali was supposed to take it to him this past weekend but their plan got screwed. I told him to get tracking, but if it makes it to jameral, at least it will be back in the hands of a forum member.

Still working on it. I've got jamerals address, that's the plan. I have not actually seen the box, so I don't know if its the right one......it may be my sterling order, or car parts.....but I am working on it.

I guess I am having a hard time understanding how it can take Tanless1 so long to identify the correct box....It was supposedly at Tanless1's original address 2 weeks ago. Can't he just ask what the return address is on the box in question? If it's Irishsmokers than "voila!!" we have the correct box................ Seems simple enough.
At least this is how I see it with the info gleaned from this thread.... If I am missing something I have no problem being corrected.

Chris is giving me the last of the new box contributions on Monday. Was going to be today but work interfered. I'll try to get it out the same day. I decided to send it to Gecko13 so it can keep in sync with the most current list. Once jameral is in possession of the first box, I'll get the list to him and we'll have the boxes following each other until at some point they end up in the same place.
If jameral gets a box of auto parts then I guess we have one box.

Not quite as big but it's a good start. I'll have it for sure on the way to gecko13 today. I also got an email from tanless1 today and he stated that Box1 is already on the way to jameral, though he did not have a tracking number, so after today, be on the lookout for some baccy, guys.

Yeah I really didn't want to be looking after 2 boxes, but I still consider box 1 kaput until it's back in the hands of a forum member. Also box 1 is pretty huge and I don't think the contents of box 2 will fit in there. It's not exactly minute either. If and when we do combine them, it's gonna be a big ass box.

Looks something like this now. The list in Box 1 (at jameral's house) still has him sending it to gecko13, which I'm going to go with for now. Either Gecko or Jud will ultimately end up with 2 boxes and they can be combined at that time. I'm assuming, of course, that we want it all together.

One very important thing is that if you are on this list, add this thread to your favorites and notify me if you need to be removed from the list. If we don't hear anything from you we assume you are still on. I also reccommend PM-ing the next guy on the list before you mail out the box to make sure that person is aware they are next. There will always be periodic updates to the list as new members are added or dropped.

I know that many of us have been waiting a long time for the box, so I am going through it as quickly as I can. If all goes well I should have my additions in by tomorrow and send the box out to Gecko13 by the weekend.

Well, as promised, I went through the box in record time and it is now on its way to gecko13. I had a good time sorting through all the wonderful samples. My additions to the box are some Haddo's Delight, Christmas Cheer 2011, Sutliff Private BRG Mixture, C&D Berry Good, two of my titanium tampers, and a very lightly smoked Darby pipe. The tracking is 03120860000109384168. Thanks to all who contributed.
