I picked up another McCranie pipe this week. This one is an unsmoked vintage 1993 collaboration of Tom McCranie, Ashton's Bill Taylor and Italy's Tonino Jacono

If I am correct the collaboration went like this. Tom McCranie commissioned the shape and size, Jacono made the pipes stems and rusticated them, Taylor blasted them and stained and oil cured them. I have a similar shape although smaller bowl and straight that I smoke regular and it is a good smoker. I am tossed as to whether or not I smoke this one. I originally was going to wait for the new batch of Red Ribbon to arrive and make it a Ribbon exclusive pipe, but with my luck the pipe and Red Ribbon arrived in the same week.
