Hello!
I have the following old pipes that I'm hoping to receive additional information on. They all have markings of some kind, but a few are a bit of a mystery...
1. French Briar w/ Anchor, Star, Bird On Gold Neck

2. Pipe with no maker, but has a gold neck with 5 stars on each side. One side also has a very small triangle with what appears to be 3 small circles within it.

3. Roy Dr. Grabow Imported Briar with White Spade stem

I also have these that I'm not entirely familiar with. Does anyone have some history on the makers of these pipes?
4. Stanley Real Briar

5. Bull’s Genuine Briar

6. Imported Briar

Any additional information regarding these pipes would be appreciated, I'm new and looking to start a hobby.
Thanks!
Mitchell

From your notes.

Need to look up hallmarks for this. Would need picture however.
2. Pipe with no maker, but has a gold neck with 5 stars on each side. One side also has a very small triangle with what appears to be 3 small circles within it.

Again, my apologies for the links to the pictures not working. They are working for me, so I'm not entirely sure what the problem is. Does this direct link work?

Yes, link works. Not sure now about Lee pipes. I do know the Grabow is a factory made pipe and not that rare.
The white pipe looks to me like meerschaum?

Thanks for your feedback! I did some researching online on the pipe with the hallmarks, and I found this site: null
It may be associated with Chesterfield C.P.F.? Although the pipe does not list Chesterfield C.P.F., it does have the exact same hallmarks. Any thoughts on this?
Also, I thought it might be a Meerschaum, too. I haven't been able to make any connection with the gold neck with 5 stars though.

French Briar is a generic stamp. Usually they were branded as well. But not always. The band on the French Briar is nickel plate with the plate worn through to the brass. Only British silver is hallmarked on pipes. The stamps are fake hallmarks for looks only. Probably 1900-1920. The second bowl with the stars on the band with the triangle logo is probably a WDC. Looks like a meerschaum. Same era. Van Roy was a screw stem brand of its own in the 40s. They had a model called "Magic Cake" that I collected for a while. I guess Grabow bought them out and double stamped them until Van Roy was phased out completely.
Don't know about the other three. But they look like typical 30s-40s era pipes.
