Phil it has the edge now over the Garbe, Button is more to my likening more of a shoulder and I am a clencher, the Garbe I have comeing from S Africa will be tested against it also have another Joura in that package.

I remember visiting Joura many years ago in his little workshop in the middle of Bremen, Germany. While I was looking through his pipes, he left me alone and rummaged upstairs for more pipes. I could have run with a few 1000 $ worth of pipes and he would not even have noticed. Instead, I got an Infinity E for an insane price. This grade was 1200$ at that time and I got it for less than a quarter of that. Nice guy, excellent pipes.

I'd call that a square-shanked Lumberman-- and I'd also call it gorgeous!!! Someday I will own a Joura.

Bradley, great looking pipe with some awesome grain. The square shank is also very cool looking, glad to hear you enjoy how it smokes. It must have been filthy if it took four retorts to get it clean. I cannot imagine what came out of that thing on the first couple. You should have taken pics while you were doing it, that would have made for some pretty gross pictures. lol
